Counseling for Disordered Eating
Counseling for disordered eating can include a wide array of eating difficulties such as orthorexia, food fear, restrictive tendencies, binge eating, emotional eating and poor body image. Counseling is also offered for general anxiety and depression, difficult life transitions, chronic illness and women's issues. Virtual sessions are offered for those in the state of Maryland!
Food and Mood Group
Therapist Danielle Swimm and Dietitian Dana Magee co-run a 6 week group focused on binge eating recovery. The group is currently running it's winter series with a focus on mindful eating, body image issues and learning skills and techniques to use when recovering from binge eating disorder. The cost is $50 per group ($300 total) and the group runs for 1 hour a week. The office is located across the highway from Trader Joe's in Annapolis and is a minute or two from Annapolis Mall and Anne Arundel Medical Center. The office provides a warm, inviting atmosphere for clients to process life's difficulties, learn techniques and coping skills and come up with solutions on moving forward.
